Report On Heat Loss :

While the basic idea of heat pumps remains the same, they differ in their structure, such as buffer tank vs. no buffer, inverter vs. non inverter, monobloc vs. split system, hybrid, and so on.

When all of the relevant data from a survey is entered into the manufacturer’s software, there is very little room for error, as long as the software is programmed for the UK climate, and within that, there are various locations in the UK to consider. For example, temperatures in the dead of winter differ significantly from those in Scotland.

The consumer must insist on seeing a heat loss report, which is now required by MCS, the RHI’s accrediting authority; the sooner this becomes common practise, the better.

Survey

Ground source and air source heat pump installations are both surveyed to the highest non-invasive level. Detailed heat loss calculations, MCS 031 Performance Estimates, MCS Compliance Certificates, MCS 020 Noise Assessment, and DNO Notification forms are just a few of the reports created. A detailed technical installation report, including the placement of the heat pump, cylinder, ground loop needs, and recommended locations of new pipe runs, can also be provided.
