Before you book: heat pump servicing in Bognor Regis
A heat pump that is serviced and set up properly keeps running efficiently for many years. Many heat pump faults trace back to settings, low pressure or a worn part rather than the heat pump itself, and those can usually be put right.
Service visits in Bognor Regis include unvented cylinder safety checks alongside the heat pump itself. If a heat pump in Bognor Regis has not been serviced for a while, the first visit includes a full check of settings and pressures.
An annual service keeps a heat pump running efficiently, catches small faults early and is often a condition of the manufacturer's warranty.
- Systems where the manufacturer's warranty requires annual servicing
- Heat pumps installed by another company that need a new servicing arrangement
- Homes where running costs have crept up or rooms feel cooler than before
What's included
- Glycol or antifreeze protection test where fitted
- Cleaning of the outdoor unit coil, fan area and condensate drain
- Expansion vessel, pressure relief and water quality checks
- Refrigerant circuit checks on split systems by an F-gas certified engineer
- Controls and error log check, with settings adjusted where needed
Homes in Bognor Regis and across West Sussex can book servicing at a time of year that suits them, ideally before winter.
Grants and rules for heat pumps in England
In England the Boiler Upgrade Scheme gives £7,500 towards an air source heat pump (£9,000 if it replaces oil or LPG, from 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027), and since 28 April 2026 a valid EPC is no longer needed. The grant is applied for by the MCS-certified installer and shown as a deduction on your Bognor Regis quote.

Heat pump servicing in Bognor Regis: questions
How much does a visit cost in Bognor Regis?
The rate for a service or fault-finding visit is agreed before anyone attends. Any repair is priced in writing before parts are ordered, so you decide before work goes ahead.
How often should a heat pump in Bognor Regis be serviced?
Once a year is the usual recommendation, and many manufacturers make annual servicing a condition of the warranty. Check your warranty terms for the exact requirement.
What should I check before booking a visit in Bognor Regis?
Note any error code on the controller, check the system pressure gauge if you have one, and make sure the outdoor unit is clear of leaves or snow. Photos of the unit and controller help.
How much does a heat pump service cost?
An annual heat pump service has a guide price of £120–£250, including VAT. Where your price sits depends on the type of system, whether it is a split system needing refrigerant checks and whether an unvented cylinder is included. Any parts or repairs found during the service are explained and priced before any work goes ahead.
Is servicing needed to keep my warranty valid?
Often, yes. Many manufacturer warranties require an annual service with a dated record, and some extended warranties require an approved installer. Manufacturer warranties pass to you, and the length depends on the make and model. Check your warranty documents, and keep every service record safe with your MCS certificate and handover pack.
