Before you book: heat pump servicing in Marlow
A heat pump that is serviced and set up properly keeps running efficiently for many years. Many heat pump faults trace back to settings, low pressure or a worn part rather than the heat pump itself, and those can usually be put right.
Heat pumps in Marlow that sit near trees or hedges often need their outdoor coil cleared of leaves at the annual service. Landlords in Marlow can arrange servicing for several properties, with a dated record for each.
An annual service keeps a heat pump running efficiently, catches small faults early and is often a condition of the manufacturer's warranty.
- Landlords who need dated service records for each property
- Homes where running costs have crept up or rooms feel cooler than before
- Heat pumps a year or more past installation
What's included
- Refrigerant circuit checks on split systems by an F-gas certified engineer
- Magnetic filter and strainer clean, with system pressure topped up
- Cleaning of the outdoor unit coil, fan area and condensate drain
- Expansion vessel, pressure relief and water quality checks
- Unvented cylinder safety checks and legionella cycle check
Homes in Marlow and across Buckinghamshire can book servicing at a time of year that suits them, ideally before winter.
Grants and rules for heat pumps in England
Homes in Marlow can use the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, which takes £7,500 off the cost of an air source heat pump when it replaces fossil-fuel or electric heating. Replacing oil or LPG heating qualifies for £9,000 for installations from 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027, and air-to-air systems for £2,500. The MCS-certified installer named in your quote applies for the grant and deducts it from the price.

Heat pump servicing in Marlow: questions
How much does a visit cost in Marlow?
The rate for a service or fault-finding visit is agreed before anyone attends. Any repair is priced in writing before parts are ordered, so you decide before work goes ahead.
How often should a heat pump in Marlow be serviced?
Once a year is the usual recommendation, and many manufacturers make annual servicing a condition of the warranty. Check your warranty terms for the exact requirement.
Do you also cover High Wycombe?
Yes. We arrange heat pump servicing and repairs in High Wycombe, which is about 4 miles north of Marlow, and across Buckinghamshire.
Is servicing needed to keep my warranty valid?
Often, yes. Many manufacturer warranties require an annual service with a dated record, and some extended warranties require an approved installer. Manufacturer warranties pass to you, and the length depends on the make and model. Check your warranty documents, and keep every service record safe with your MCS certificate and handover pack.
What does a heat pump service not include?
A service covers inspection, cleaning, testing and adjustment. It does not include replacement parts, major repairs, system flushing or radiator changes, which are quoted separately if needed. If the engineer finds a fault, they explain what it is, what it would cost to fix and whether it needs doing now or can wait.
