Heat pump servicing in Pontypridd: what to expect
A heat pump that is serviced and set up properly keeps running efficiently for many years. Many heat pump faults trace back to settings, low pressure or a worn part rather than the heat pump itself, and those can usually be put right.
Service visits in Pontypridd include unvented cylinder safety checks alongside the heat pump itself. If a heat pump in Pontypridd has not been serviced for a while, the first visit includes a full check of settings and pressures.
An annual service keeps a heat pump running efficiently, catches small faults early and is often a condition of the manufacturer's warranty.
- Heat pumps a year or more past installation
- Homes where running costs have crept up or rooms feel cooler than before
- Landlords who need dated service records for each property
What's included
- Unvented cylinder safety checks and legionella cycle check
- Refrigerant circuit checks on split systems by an F-gas certified engineer
- A dated service record for your warranty and property files
- Glycol or antifreeze protection test where fitted
- Cleaning of the outdoor unit coil, fan area and condensate drain
Homes in Pontypridd and across Mid Glamorgan can book servicing at a time of year that suits them, ideally before winter.
Grants and rules for heat pumps in Wales
