Before you book: heat pump servicing in Huntingdon
A heat pump that is serviced and set up properly keeps running efficiently for many years. Many heat pump faults trace back to settings, low pressure or a worn part rather than the heat pump itself, and those can usually be put right.
Landlords in Huntingdon can arrange servicing for several properties, with a dated record for each. We service heat pumps in Huntingdon whoever installed them, including monobloc and split systems.
An annual service keeps a heat pump running efficiently, catches small faults early and is often a condition of the manufacturer's warranty.
- Systems where the manufacturer's warranty requires annual servicing
- Heat pumps installed by another company that need a new servicing arrangement
- Homes where running costs have crept up or rooms feel cooler than before
What's included
- Controls and error log check, with settings adjusted where needed
- Expansion vessel, pressure relief and water quality checks
- A dated service record for your warranty and property files
- Refrigerant circuit checks on split systems by an F-gas certified engineer
- Unvented cylinder safety checks and legionella cycle check
Homes in Huntingdon and across Cambridgeshire can book servicing at a time of year that suits them, ideally before winter.
Grants and rules for heat pumps in England
Homes in Huntingdon can use the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, which takes £7,500 off the cost of an air source heat pump when it replaces fossil-fuel or electric heating. Replacing oil or LPG heating qualifies for £9,000 for installations from 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027, and air-to-air systems for £2,500. The MCS-certified installer named in your quote applies for the grant and deducts it from the price.

Designing for Huntingdon's winters
Huntingdon has about 7 hours 41 minutes of daylight at midwinter and 16 hours 48 minutes at midsummer. That swing matters if you pair a heat pump with solar panels: summer generation can cover much of the hot water, winter generation far less.

Heat pump servicing in Huntingdon: questions
How much does a visit cost in Huntingdon?
The rate for a service or fault-finding visit is agreed before anyone attends. Any repair is priced in writing before parts are ordered, so you decide before work goes ahead.
What should I check before booking a visit in Huntingdon?
Note any error code on the controller, check the system pressure gauge if you have one, and make sure the outdoor unit is clear of leaves or snow. Photos of the unit and controller help.
Do you also cover St Neots?
Yes. We arrange heat pump servicing and repairs in St Neots, which is about 9 miles south-west of Huntingdon, and across Cambridgeshire.
What does a heat pump service not include?
A service covers inspection, cleaning, testing and adjustment. It does not include replacement parts, major repairs, system flushing or radiator changes, which are quoted separately if needed. If the engineer finds a fault, they explain what it is, what it would cost to fix and whether it needs doing now or can wait.
Is servicing needed to keep my warranty valid?
Often, yes. Many manufacturer warranties require an annual service with a dated record, and some extended warranties require an approved installer. Manufacturer warranties pass to you, and the length depends on the make and model. Check your warranty documents, and keep every service record safe with your MCS certificate and handover pack.
