Heat pump servicing in Worcestershire

Air source heat pump installation, servicing and repairs across Worcestershire: free home surveys for installation enquiries, guide prices online and fixed written quotes.

We service systems installed through us and systems fitted by other companies, including monobloc and split units. If your heat pump was installed by someone else, tell us the make, model and age when you book so the engineer brings the right parts and information. Refrigerant work on split systems must be done by an F-gas certified engineer.

Service visits in Worcestershire include unvented cylinder safety checks alongside the heat pump itself. If a heat pump in Worcestershire has not been serviced for a while, the first visit includes a full check of settings and pressures. We service heat pumps in Worcestershire whoever installed them, including monobloc and split systems.

Heat pump servicing questions

How often should a heat pump be serviced?

Once a year is the usual recommendation for air source heat pumps, and many manufacturers require it as a warranty condition. An annual visit cleans filters and strainers, checks pressures and controls, and tests the unvented cylinder's safety devices. If you notice a drop in performance, unusual noises or repeated error codes between services, arrange a visit sooner.

Do I need to do anything between services?

A little. Keep the area around the outdoor unit clear of leaves, snow, plants and stored items so air flows freely. Check the system pressure gauge occasionally if you have one, and note any error codes. Avoid covering the unit or building an enclosure around it without advice, as this can reduce performance.

What does a heat pump service not include?

A service covers inspection, cleaning, testing and adjustment. It does not include replacement parts, major repairs, system flushing or radiator changes, which are quoted separately if needed. If the engineer finds a fault, they explain what it is, what it would cost to fix and whether it needs doing now or can wait.

Is servicing needed to keep my warranty valid?

Often, yes. Many manufacturer warranties require an annual service with a dated record, and some extended warranties require an approved installer. Manufacturer warranties pass to you, and the length depends on the make and model. Check your warranty documents, and keep every service record safe with your MCS certificate and handover pack.
