Grants and rules for heat pumps in Northern Ireland
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme covers England and Wales only, and there is currently no dedicated heat pump grant for homeowners in Northern Ireland. Our quote for a Dungiven home is therefore shown without a grant deduction; if support becomes available we will tell you how it applies.
There is no VAT on installing a heat pump in Northern Ireland until 31 March 2027, the same as in Great Britain. Planning and building control here follow Northern Ireland's own rules, so the survey checks the unit position against them.

Heat pumps in Dungiven: questions
Do you cover Limavady as well as Dungiven?
Yes. We arrange surveys and installation in Limavady, which is about 9 miles north of Dungiven, and across County Londonderry.
Where would the outdoor unit go on a Dungiven house?
Usually at the side or rear, on a level base with space around it for airflow and servicing, away from bedroom windows where possible. The surveyor checks positions at your Dungiven home.
Do I need new radiators for a heat pump in Dungiven?
Often some, not all. Heat pumps run best at lower water temperatures, so rooms with small radiators may need larger ones. The survey of your Dungiven home gives a room-by-room list.
How soon can you survey a home in Dungiven?
Survey dates depend on how busy installers are in County Londonderry. We offer the next available dates when you enquire and confirm them in writing.
